The Haggett family is in possession of several paintings by the unknown artist Christopher Bean. Doctor Milton Haggett receives a telegram from New York art critic Maxwell Davenport, who is coming to assess the work of his favorite painter, Bean. However, there are also two rivals vying for the pieces.
