¿Chico o Chica? plot

For economic reasons, a young man with his small daughter is forced to emigrate to Mexico. He has his child raised by his older uncles. Years later, the mother returns to Spain to visit her daughter. The girl has now become a well-bred adolescent, who has a very beautiful voice and can sing beautifully. The mother wants to take her daughter, but the family that has cared for her all these years does not want to lose her and they do everything they can to keep the girl with them.
