Oscar is a burly guard at Newberry Prison. He gets into a fight with the hairdresser Jerry. Jerry tries to run away, but is arrested and considered a fugitive. He then has to serve a sentence in Newberry. Oscar and Jerry fall in love with Mary, the daughter of Prison Warden Brown. Oscar lets the petite Jerry join the prison football team to set him off, but instead Jerry proves that he's a superstar.
