Big News from Grand Rock plot

Leonard Crane is the editor of The Grand Rock Weekly Ledger, a small-town newspaper on the brink of bankruptcy. Leonard is desperate and wants to save the newspaper from destruction. He therefore takes a drastic measure. He starts making up news and uses the storylines of old movies. Things spiral out of control when one of his articles catches the attention of a big-city reporter.
