Asta, Mein Engelchen plot

Otto Gratzick is a porter of the DEFA studio. He is a big movie fan and especially he admires Asta Nielsen, an actress in silent movies. He watches all her movies and only dates women who look like her. Gratzick himself has something of the famous actor Hermann Geschwindner and when he suddenly dies and his last film remains unfinished, the director decides to use Gratzick as a stand-in.
