Arrivano i Bersaglieri plot

In 1870, the Italian troops of General La Marmora kidnap the Pope. Italian soldier Alfonso kills a member of the guard, unaware that he is the son of the powerful Don Prospero. Later, when Alfonso accidentally takes refuge in Don Prospero's house, he is accommodated there by Costanza and Olimpia, Don Prospero's wife and daughter. Alfonso soon falls in love with the gorgeous Olimpia, but his rival Gustavo also has a crush on Olimpia.
