"He was so far behind, he thought he was in first."

A retired horse trainer (Astin) gets a unique opportunity to take his career out of the woods and return to the famed "Winner's Circle," a prestigious gathering of horse trainers. His only chance to make a name for himself again, however, comes in the form of his ex-girlfriend (Oteri) who is also, as a jockey, also trying to make a name for himself in the world of horse racing.
