Anchors Aweigh plot

When an overzealous artist proposes to his girlfriend, who is on her way to Broadway, he plunges into a dream world of desperate nostalgia and pitiful self-reflection following her anxious request to 'take some distance'. Impulsively, the rejected lover moves onto a sailboat moored at a New York airport. There, he seeks solace by sifting through a stack of home videos, only to be confronted with his own stalled adolescence and the creeping fear that he might indeed be a loveless loser.
