An Angel from Texas plot
"You've seen a Texas bad-man, you've heard of a Texas tornado – Now – Meet..."
Lydia Weston leaves her small Texan town for the big New York. She does leave her steady and gallant friend Peter behind. Lydia regularly sends home letters and news clips announcing that she has now become a huge star on Broadway. After a while, Peter goes to New York to surprise her there, but it is he himself who gets the surprise of his life when he discovers that Lydia has no job and even less money. The couple soon becomes involved with a bunch of fake producers who extort Peter's money to make a so-called play in which Lydia would play the lead.
