Adieu les Roses plot

While the estate has been family owned for over a century, Hortense is now forced to sell it. Her son Nicolas wants to personally select the most suitable buyer, because he does not want the beautiful estate to fall into the hands of the first rich layabout. Who will it be? The dancer of the Folies-Bergère? The bourgeois couple with their cheeky child? Or perhaps the novelist, who has the advantage of being pretty and single. Nicolas has already decided to marry the new owner, so that the estate remains in the family.
