Nice sequel to the black Comedy / Family film "The Addams Family" from 1991, also with the same cast and director.
This second part focuses on the lost Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) who found his family in the first. Though ugly and abnormally shy, nanny Debbie Jellinsky (Joan Cussack) wants to wrap him around her finger. For her, his negative sides are overshadowed by his immeasurable wealth. To get rid of the troublesome and suspicious kids Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman), they are sent to summer camp. They don't really fit there to say the least and that makes for some deliciously morbid jokes.
This Comedy/Family film again indulges in all sorts of outrageous camera movements and the sets and effects are also first-class. The excellent acting was there again and in particular Raul Julia (who unfortunately passed away shortly after the shooting), Anjelica Huston and Christina Ricci have again visibly enjoyed their roles.

Addams Family Values a sequel in which the Addams family comes out. Gives hilarious moments just like we are used to with part 1 but slightly different. Great sequel.

And on to part two of the bizarre Addams Family. This film certainly was less in my memory than the first, but after watching it, a lot quickly came to mind.
After all the issues surrounding Fester's return, it's Fester again, and a money issue, which is more or less causing all the problems and causing half the family collapse, not much different than in part 1 where they are evicted. And that immediately cracked the biggest critical note. Addams Family Values is not very original in that respect with a story that again revolves around the vulnerability of Fester and the money of the family. Likewise, we now know how weird the family is with hobbies and habits, so that's not new either, and repetition is quickly lurking.
In that respect, the film is still pretty much saved by baby Pubert, not by the final scene, which is quite bland, and the decoration around the baby itself. Joan Cussack, for example, is wonderful as a crazy nanny and the happenings around Wednesday and Pugsley at summer camp are also quite funny. The play around Thanksgiving is especially nice.
Wednesday turns out to be the smartest of the family again, It saves things again, Lloyd still very entertaining, Cussack also very nice, the whole family with all the acquaintances comes up again, and the final conclusion is that despite the entertainment, we had in fact already seen most of it. And while less than the first volume, Addams Family Values is quite entertaining for once.
