"HE'S A SPY FOR BOTH SIDES!"
Aubrey Filmore (Red Skelton) is a bumbling Missouri bellhop who continues to harass two officers. He wants to become a spy for the Northern States. When Filmore is mistakenly swapped for a real spy from the Southern States, called "The Gray Spider", the northerners see an opportunity to use Filmore as a spy after all.
