A Social Celebrity plot
Max Haber is a hairdresser in a small town. Max works in his father Johann Haber's shop and the ambitious manicurist Kitty Laverne is his girlfriend. Kitty goes to New York in the hope that Max will follow her. Max does and he manages to get a job in New York at a large barbershop. Mrs. Jackson-Greer convinces Max to pose as a French count. The young and driven April King is after Max. When Max is unmasked, he wants to return to his small town.
