A Shot in the Dark plot

Philip 'Phil' Richards sells his nightclub to an out-of-town buyer. The local mafia shows that they are not happy with this transaction. When the buyer arrives in town, he is shot and dies. Richard's friends, police detective William "Bill" Ryder and curious journalist Peter "Pete" Kennedy, set out to investigate.
