A Quiet Little Neighborhood, a Perfect Little Murder plot

Due to family expansion and the fact that their current home is too expensive, the Pegler family has to move to a terraced house in the suburbs. Marsha Pegler is a rather eccentric appearance in such a middle-class neighborhood. She happens to hear over the baby monitor how Judy Hecker and Don Poston are plotting the murder of Poston's wife Cynthia. When the police show themselves indifferent, she starts playing detective on her own. As a result, she falls head over heels in the bourgeois business of the suburb. Much to her husband's dismay.
