A Hero for a Night plot

Hiram Hastings dreams of following in the footsteps of aviator Charles Lindbergh. The problem is, he's never been on an airplane, but only a correspondence course for pilots. Hiram falls in love with Mary, the daughter of a wealthy soap manufacturer, and tries to persuade her father to finance his upcoming flight across the Atlantic.
