A Festa de Margarette plot

Pedro lives with his wife Margarette, the children, a grandmother and countless other relatives in a remote house in the south of Brazil. He dreams of throwing a big birthday party for Margarette, but he can barely make ends meet and also has a debt outstanding at the pub. When Pedro is fired from the car factory, his dream is shattered. But surprisingly, his severance package consists of a briefcase and a bag of money.
