After his son's suicide, billionaire John T. Conover decides to disappear from the public eye. Ten years later, he tries to right some bad choices and relieve his guilt. He does this by placing the rights of his company in a public fund. However, the board wants to cash in and sell the company to the Russians. Charlie Nabis, a filmmaker on the brink of ruin, is hired by a Russian agent to find and film Conover. That turns out to be a hell of a job.
