40-Horse Hawkins plot

Inexperienced youngster Luke Hawkins tries to keep job after job, but it doesn't work. After several jobs, he becomes a director. Actress Helen Holmes falls for the newcomer, but he falls in love with Mary Darling again. Holmes can't take it and gets Darling fired. She then decides to return to New York. But Hawkins doesn't give up and follows her.
