Wiener Mädeln plot

Beginning composer Carl Michael Ziehrer still works in his father's hat shop during the day. One evening, partly due to his assistant Engelbert, he gets the chance to conduct as a replacement for the great Johann Strauss. The Munk sisters swarm over the young composer, but his eye is especially drawn to the beautiful Klara. His heart breaks when she suddenly announces her marriage to Count Lechenberg. Together with Engelbert, he seeks his salvation in music and meets Klara's sister, Mitzi, who is making a career as a singer as Marianne Edelmann.
