Vor der Morgenröte plot
1934. Austrian writer Stefan Zweig is at the peak of his creativity and is a real star in the literary world. Due to the seizure of power by the National Socialists in Germany a year earlier, his influence in that country is also increasing. One day, the convinced pacifist is suspected of hiding weapons. The ensuing search hits him so hard that he decides to go into exile immediately. He first stays in England, but his search takes him to New York, Buenos Aires and finally to Brazil. There he wrote his last and also best-known work 'The Royal Game' in 1942.
