Veronika plot

The reconstruction of a dramatic episode in the life of the 19th-century Czech writer Boena Nemcová, seen through the eyes of the young Veronika, who reported the author's subversive activities to the Austrian police. Veronika hoped to save her father who had been imprisoned in 1848, but misled by the police, she died before she could confess the truth to Nemcová.
