Un Destin Inattandu plot

Nadia, a rebellious 18-year-old girl of Rwandan descent, lives with her family in a working-class neighborhood in a small French town. She had a possible career as a professional basketball star ahead of her, but was ultimately rejected due to her difficult nature. She is then pressured by her father to participate in the Miss Poitou Charentes pageant. Without too many ambitions she registers and to her surprise she effortlessly makes it to the second round. It is now up to Nadia herself to keep her rebellious character under control if she wants to have a chance to advance to the final and the crown of Miss Poitou Charentes.
