The House of Rothschild plot
Despite the anti-Semitic objections of the powerful politician Ledrantz, the Rothschild family, led by the descendant Nathan, manages to grow into one of the most powerful families in Europe. In the end, Nathan Rothschild is even knighted for his services to the British crown, his main credit being the financing of Earl Wellington's army units during the Battle of Waterloo in which Napoleon's army was defeated.
