The Boys in the Boat plot
At the beginning of the twentieth century, rowing was one of the most popular and acclaimed sports. As the United States grapples with a global economic crisis in the 1930s, a group of brave, fit boys decide to represent their country at the Summer Olympics in Berlin. The boys, led by Joe Rantz, have to compete against elite candidates from all over the world. For the underprivileged youth, their team is the only chance to stay in college.
