Slotakkoord plot
François Damas is a doctor and receives seriously ill people in his consulting room. He talks to them about possible euthanasia. In 2002, the Belgian parliament passed a law on patient self-determination and the right to euthanasia. Since then, a number of hospitals have been offering end-of-life consultations. Patients go there on the recommendation of their doctor. According to the law, a second doctor must review the euthanasia request for an informed decision. François Damas is such a doctor.
