Poorna plot
Poorna Malavath belongs to a Telugu speaking tribe in Pakala, which is located in the Chittoor district in the Andhra Pradesh state of India. Her parents are farm workers. She joins the TSWREIS (Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society) for her education and there her talent is spotted by the secretary of the association, Dr. RS Praveen Kumar. Prime Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy authorizes her for Operation Everest along with a Dalit mountaineer, Sandhanapalli Anand Kumar. On May 25, 2014, Poorna reaches the highest peak of Mount Everest and, aged 13 years and 11 months, becomes one of the youngest girls in the world to reach the summit of Everest.
