Decent film that can only be criticized for some exaggerated sentimentality, especially towards the end.
Queen Pomare IV of Tahiti, who had to deal with the not so peaceful tug-of-war between England and France over her paradise island, but still managed to achieve important achievements for her country and proved to have a view of society that was ahead of its time.
