Kapodistrias plot

Set at the end of the 19th century, the film tells the true story of Ioannis Kapodistrias, the greatest Greek statesman and the first governor of Greece after its liberation from the Ottoman Empire. Guided by integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of justice, Kapodistrias dedicates his life to defending the freedom and dignity of his people. In his struggle to rebuild the nation, he sacrifices his personal happiness, including the love of his life, and confronts the corruption and hostility of powerful forces.
