Judas plot
Judas Iscariot. Modest wine merchant with quite a rebellious character. Judas is outraged by the treatment of his people by the Roman oppressor and so he wants radical action. When he hears rumors of the coming of a Messiah, Judas feels the time has come. He goes in search of Jesus of Nazareth, the calm-speaking prophet who preaches love, heals the sick, and stirs things up. After being welcomed by his disciples, Judas is immediately in awe of Jesus. But tensions soon arise. While Jesus relies on spiritual forces and rejects violence, Judas has more physical tactics in mind. This clash between ideals and Judas's restrained jealousy parallels events. As the authorities increasingly pursue Jesus, Judas commits his ultimate act of betrayal.
