Twelve-year-old Ben has just hit puberty and suddenly his weight is a problem; for him and for everyone. The other kids bully him, his divorced parents don’t know what to do and even the school nurse is worried about him. So despite his love of food and his emerging talent as a chef, Ben decides to take drastic measures. He starts dieting. Maybe that can turn things around. And even win the heart of Klara, the girl of his dreams.

Yes, this one is really fun. Unfortunately, I had the English dubbed version. Still, very catchy animation. It looks like Claymation, but it doesn't seem to be stop motion. It is beautifully and smoothly animated.

It is about a chubby boy who starts losing weight and has to overcome his fears. A simple story, but it is gripping enough, because after 80 minutes the narrative is satisfactorily concluded. All in all, a film that is perfectly enjoyable for children and their parents. But then again, is there a Dutch version?
