The Wishgranter plot

"An apathetic Wish-granter finds that there's more to his job all along."

Wishgranters are little people who live underground and can make wishes come true at the touch of a button. An apathetic Wishgranter is forced to go above ground to fulfill a wish of love; he must bring two persons together. But the fountain he needs to do this gets clogged. He must now bring the two together through some emergency procedures.
