It seems like a normal day at the Masaki Temple until Tenchi doesn't come back from his walk in the woods. Six months later, Ryoko and Ayeka still haven't managed to find him, but they're not giving up. Eventually they discover that he is in another world with a strange woman, they have no idea who she is or how to reach Tenchi, and does Tenchi still want to see them?
