The mighty King Harald nearly loses his family because of the Snow Queen's misdeeds. He finds a way to banish all magic from the world: all possessors of magical powers are now trapped in Mirror Lands. The only one who can stop him and keep the magic in our world is Gerda - because her own greatest strength is not magic, but her belief in kindness and friendship. During Gerda's adventures she is helped by trolls, pirates and even the Snow Queen herself.
