How bad.

I've never been a fan of these kinds of movies anyway, but they don't keep very well either. At one time perhaps acceptable in terms of animation, but nowadays it looks very poor and bare. And if even the technical cannot convince, then there is very little left.

The classic arguments count again. Very bad voice acting, terrible sense of humor, a banal story and some annoying pop references. Who else is waiting for some stale Mafia jokes, with some fish-puns in between? And what bet has Scorsese lost that he should be in a movie like this?

In retrospect, it is absolutely not surprising that Finding Nemo "won" this film, the basic quality is a lot higher there, although the film is ultimately not much better. Shark Tale is especially unmemorable, bite-swallow junk that you'll have forgotten tomorrow. Maybe it's for the best, because I don't have many good memories of this film.

Ugly.

The appeal of these kinds of films always escapes me a bit. I remember looking at it a number of times when I was younger, or at least the opening. After that I probably went to play 3 rooms away because I didn't like it even as a child. As an older person, that conclusion has remained pretty much the same.

Besides the fact that I probably wouldn't have noticed at the time how ugly this movie looks. Almost every movement, expression or action looks wooden and bare. The only thing that might have been nicely done is the detailing of the town and the fact that Smith's fish also looks like Will Smith. Unfortunately, Smith himself isn't as fun as he hopes he is as a fish.

Very lame jokes, but also very annoying humor. Very intrusive and intrusive. Lots of yelling, frolicking and dull dialogues desperately looking for a smile from the viewer. I can sometimes laugh at stupid humor, but not when that humor is set up in such an intrusive and annoying way. Everything within this movie is like "Smile at me, please!" to shout out loud. I haven't been able to do it once. It does not help that at least half of the voice cast makes a demotivated impression, especially that Jolie almost growls her lines.

Nice story, yes. But otherwise a film that I absolutely can't do anything with. As a child I thought it was a boring mess, and even with my interest in marine life, this film can be called really enjoyable at very few moments. Maybe kids will swallow it, but I'd say it's better to just look elsewhere than this forgettable stuff.
