Pinocchio plot
"When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true."
Geppetto makes a wooden puppet and names it Pinocchio. His wish that Pinocchio will be a real boy is fulfilled by a fairy. She assigns the cricket Jiminy to act as Pinocchio's conscience and keep him out of trouble. However, he is not really successful at this.

Happy Disney!
Pinocchio has exceeded my expectations for the full one hundred percent and has exceeded my expectations. I never saw the film as a child and so this was the first time under the motto 'see all Disney classics'.
Pinocchio himself is a nice character but the strength of the film is that he is constantly surrounded by interesting/fun characters. The whole is beautifully drawn and the adventures Pinocchio ends up in are original and entertaining.
The moral in the film, which is often referred to as the negative side of the film, did not bother me while watching, in my opinion it is precisely Pinocchio's nose and ignorance that makes him interesting. I didn't think the songs were very strong, but they weren't really disturbing either.

Ever seen as a child. Now as a 48 year old again. But what a beautiful visual fairytale. And this movie is from 1940????
unbelievable.
What beautiful movements and beautiful colors.
The story never gets boring and a lot happens. I wish I could have seen this movie in the cinema.

What a wonderful Disney movie this is. One of the best in this genre for me. Beautifully made and that from 1940. Also nice are all the raw edges. Because nowadays everything has to be very cuddly otherwise the children's hearts will be touched too much. There is plenty in Pinocchio and the story is also very original. I also liked the cricket the sweet fish and the Dutch milkmaids. And luckily no Disney songs. The message also gets across well. Also in 2022. It's also nice that that nose is now
has become a famous statement. Mark Rutte now knows all about it.
