Negative Space plot
Although Sam's father is hardly ever home because he is often on business trips, he can connect with his son by teaching him how to pack a suitcase. After years of practice, Sam is now an expert at it. He knows how to take advantage of every nook and cranny in the suitcase. And that is exactly what connects him to his father. But how much love can one cram into the negative space of memory?

How funny, but also a bit cynical.
Sam will remember his father with something less than central to life and automatically that experience will bubble up in what he sees. Will he be aware that it could have been much different and more important?
