Korova plot
In the Russian countryside, a seen lives next to a railway. The schoolboy Vasya Rubtsov reminisces about the time when his parents had a cow that supplied the whole community with milk and served as a beast of burden. When her calf is then sold for meat, the cow mourns her loss.
