What an annoying child that little girl in the wheelchair is (especially in the beginning), and what a wimp that boy is who just swallows everything, something that doesn't make this story any more credible, (or are Japanese young men really that easy going?)
It starts with their meeting in which he more or less saves her life, instead of being grateful she calls him a pervert, and grandma who is there says nothing, when he then starts taking care of her she treats him like dirt, and that continues, he does a lot for her but gets very little affection in return, you can see how frustrated he is underneath but he does nothing about it.
Too bad the drawing style is a bit disappointing, although it is certainly not bad, but compared to the older Japanese animation films it is quite disappointing.
The story takes its time, the build-up to the romance between the two is reasonably done but not very convincing, partly because the boy never shows that he is fed up with her arrogant behavior and shows a bit of backbone.
Then you wonder why he chooses her while another girl is waiting for him, there is actually no satisfactory answer to that question.
