Ten years after the Holy Grail War (a violent war between wizards in which seven masters and their summoned servants fight for the Holy Grail, a magical artifact that can fulfill every wish of the victor), a new war breaks out in Fuyuki City. Shirou Emiya, the adopted son of Kiritsugu Emiya involved in the previous war, wants to fulfill his dying father's dying wish. Shirou tries to protect Sakura, a woman from the Matoi family who has been at the side of the Emiya family for many years. With the new war, however, that will not be so easy.
