Doctor Who: The Power of the Daleks plot
The original negatives of the episodes were destroyed in 1974, during a cleanup of the BBC archives. Exactly 50 years after its original broadcast on the BBC, it returns in an animated version. Still suspicious of the younger man who claims to be the Doctor, Ben and Polly discover that the TARDIS has landed on the Earth colony of Vulcan in the year 2020. Here, the scientist Lesterton has a crashed capsule containing the inert form of three Daleks. To his horror, the Doctor discovers that Lesterton has reactivated the Daleks with the intention of using them as servants for the settlers. The travelers soon realize that the Daleks have a completely different agenda.
