Just like before, I still think this is a movie with ups and downs. The animation is beautiful, with a lot of detail in the house and the backgrounds. Cinderella is also beautifully drawn, gorgeous compared to the deliberately ugly animated heads of her stepsisters.
What disappoints me is the music and songs. I'm a big fan of Disney, but I really hated that old-fashioned Disney hum in choral form. In addition, the songs were too slow and too sticky. Definitely fits in a princess story.
What is quite striking is that Cinderella has a rather limited role in this princess story. You hardly get to know anything about her and have relatively little screen time. Not a disaster either, because the mice and especially Lucifer are too nice for that. Reminds me of Tom & Jerry regularly. The stepmother is also a good villain with her icy looks.
Fortunately, there is a little bit of humor to be found. The story is also well known, about a girl with a unique shoe size, but always loses her slippers. The supporting characters are the best, as usual.

Cinderella has many renditions of which I think this is one of the best. A more than fine old Disney film that is also very entertaining. I totally disagree with my neighbor above, because those mice are so much fun! They make the movie together with that cat Lucifer. I actually liked the way they were busy tricking that cat with each other. Just wonder how those Americans could understand those mice. Nice was also the last fat mouse Peter that only just fit through the hole. I also thought Bruno that slow dog was funny. Of course it's about Cinderella. Big difference in name by the way with Cinderella. Unfortunately don't know the origin. The king with his palace was also funny and striking we actually see that prince very little in the picture. Stepmother and sisters were also on a roll, but I keep stealing the show from those mice with that cat Lucifer. For example, that after sleeping the tail was tangled and that the cat had to defend that beaded necklace by moving a little bit each time. genius. Cinderella looks beautiful and of course it ends well except for the dead cat

Good.
In my opinion one of the absolute classics from the Disney stable and a film that I saw more than once as a child. Very corny but nice fairy tale, beautiful animation where the colors sometimes catch the eye and a smooth narration: even after 71 years this animation film is still rock solid and as far as I'm concerned it is one of those Disney classics that I hope they will later, if they coming there, can appeal to my children and grandchildren just as much.
