Ashita no Joe 2 plot
It's been six months since the tragic accident between Joe and Rikiishi during the fight. Joe believes he has recovered from the accident and decides to make a comeback. This goes fairly successfully, until Joe gets the chance to take a shot at the national title. The champion, Tiger Ozaki, takes advantage of Joe's weaknesses and Joe's team has to throw in the towel. After this boxing match, Joe decides to stop because he is afraid to point his gloves at the opponent's face any longer. This in connection with the accident with Rikiishi.
