A Tale of Two Cities plot

The French lower people are being exploited by the aristocracy and are about to revolt against it. Tired of his family's decadent life, young Charles Darnay, nephew of the hard-hearted Earl De Darnay, settles in London, where he falls in love with Lucie, daughter of Dr. Manette, who was innocently imprisoned in the Bastille for years. After the revolution is settled in favor of the people, a former servant of Darnay's is arrested. Out of idealism, Darnay wants to save him. He returns to Paris, where he faces trial as an aristocrat.
