"Gold lured them to the deep. Greed and jealousy led them to terror."

Laura, a young waitress, is impressed by the exciting stories an old drunk tells her. After researching the library, his stories match actual events and Laura convinces her friend Barnes and the owner of a dive shop (Keating) to join them in search of a treasure that has been lost somewhere in the sea.
