Tailor Nikolaus (Helmut Lohner) is tired of being laughed at every day for his lack of tough masculinity. Wanting to prove he's a real man, he retreats into the woods to play all kinds of villainous tricks as a robber chieftain. As a bandit, however, he also turns out to be a wimp, but that does not prevent him from ending up with a noose.
