The Red Sword plot

In Tsarist Russia, a Cossack general, Litovsky, rapes the wife of an innkeeper. Which ultimately leads to her death. Years later, the innkeeper's daughter Vera seeks revenge on the conscious general. However, a side effect is that she is in love with his cousin.
