The Million Dollar Kid plot

Their ancestor made his fortune with electric Christmas tree lights and his first dollar hangs proudly on their Christmas tree. The youngest son likes to gamble and when he hears that the jackpot is at $50 million, he uses the dollar bill to buy a ticket. His frugal father immediately begins to preach and crumples fate. When the news shows that the winner still hasn't come forward, he realizes they had the winning ticket. Digging through the garbage is only the beginning of a wild pursuit of their fate.
