Tailspin Tommy Tompkins learns that a gang of criminals is targeting an island's oil reserves. Tailspin Tommy, however, wants to prevent this theft. The criminals learn that Tailspin Tommy wants to thwart them and they use all possible means to prevent it. They make use of anti-aircraft guns, bombs and they even cause a volcanic eruption.
