Río Negro plot

Venezuela 1912: In the Amazon region of the title, Osuña becomes governor of the Spanish government. He makes sure to fill his pockets with some of the proceeds from the local rubber plantation; he sets the roulette table and has prostitutes come over from France, from which he also earns disgracefully. Plantation chief Tomás Fúnes puts an end to the rampant immorality by ousting the decadent governor. He now rules the area with an iron hand (and the inevitable arbitrariness). The people are the child of the bill and come from the rain in the drop.
